The wait in Southern California is 6 to 9 months at MSRP. Perhaps a couple of months less in the East at MSRP. If you want it sooner, you will have to pay for it, as in $5k to $20k above MSRP.

I have a 2001 ordered from Crevier in Santa Ana at MRSP. Talk to Robert Logenfelter. Very nice dealership and they get 4 or 5 a month. But be forewarned, it is still probably a 6 month wait.
I will be selling my 2000 Carbon Black M5 when the 2001 arrives. I know, why am I doing this? It is not for the money. I did not get the exact options I wanted on the exsisting car, so a new one was the only option.
Sorry I did not have the phone number for Crevier, but information for Santa Ana has it. Good luck.

Which Southern California dealers sell at MSRP?

Well now, that is an interesting question. I am going to try and stay even money as much as is possible depending on what the market will allow when the new car arrives. The dealer has indicated they would probably take it and mark it up. Again, I am not doing this for the money, but for the right options. Only time will tell as to the exact price, but I dought that I will mark it down that much. I am even driving my old Toyota Supra from the mid 80s on occasion to keep the mileage down.
What a sweet car the M is! Let me know if your interested at any rate.

Thanks everyone for replying. Mark, will you sell your car for a reasonable price below cost since you got it at list?
Thanks
