Hello m5board members,

I just got back from participating in this event a few hours ago...I'm exhausted...and have to hop on a plane to Asia tonight, but I know many of you are anxious to see footage from today's event so I went ahead and frantically edited the clips and uploaded them to share with you folks.

From m5board, we had the following participants:

allmotor_2000 (Ram) - F10 M5 w/ CP
greentrbo95gst (Kamil) - F10 M5
E39_GaGaN (Garry) - E60 M5
4onenight (Robert) - Gintani Stage 2 SC E60 M5

randywei (Randy) - E60 M5

I won't get into too many details of the event...can search through my past threads if need be. 1/2 mile rolling or from a dig. Up to the drivers.

Temp was highs at 79degF, but also with a wind of about 15-20mph or so...according to my phone. Hence, our trap speed times weren't the greatest and neither were my PBox 60-130 times. I hit high 10's for 60-130 and didn't even break 150mph...my highest was 148mph from a dig...although one time they said I hit 179mph so I don't know if I can trust their trap speed times.

We did meet 4onenight and saw his Gintani Stage 2 E60 M5. He was having pulley slipping issues early on, but got it fixed. He was able to trap 160mph even with the pulley slipping. Not sure what he trapped after he raced and beat a MP4-12C. Unfortunately, none of us got to race him. Nice meeting you!

BTW, I also ran with ~96 octane with a high octane tune from Evolve.

Woody and I also unfortunately had some camera issues so each of us had only one operating camera instead of two. Had a really fun time, nonetheless. Hopefully we can get more m5board members to come out to the next event!

1st Race - Randy vs Ram (40mph roll 2nd gear)
Always have to start off Shift S3ctor racing Ram, it's our tradition. And he always has to kick my butt. This time with his "stock" F10 M5 with CP ("stock" to Ram means BMS tune and full RPI exhaust with HF DP. Not sure what other performance mods he has).

2nd Race - Randy vs Joel (40mph roll 2nd gear)
Joel is my good friend who has an ESS VT2-625 E90 M3. He did have a passenger for this race, but surprisingly my new mods helped me close the gap on him. Before, he would have about 4 car lengths on me from today it was only about 1-2. He did say he kind of screwed up the shift from 3rd to 4th, but it's DCT...whatever haha

3rd Race - Randy vs Tariq (dig)
My friend Tariq has a VF SC E93 M3, but I forgot which kit. His kit was also having some issues...couldn't rev past 6k RPM sometimes (although for our race he could), but he was only trapping about 130mph. In our race, he was able to redline to 8k RPM. Found out later his car had a boost leak, hence the results of the race.

4th Race - Randy vs Andy...no video
Raced a modded Audi S4, but he wanted to race from a dig so his AWD destroyed me. My GoPro was facing the wrong way so no video.

5th Race - Randy vs Woody (dig)
This race we did from a dig.

Also raced from a dig with Garry. IB cars trying to take down SG lol

Kamil and his crazy 11s 1/4 mile F10 spanked my E60 hard.

8th Race - Randy vs Woody (30mph roll 1st gear)
Did a rolling race against Woody as well. Although we should've chosen 40mph 2nd gear...with 30mph in 1st gear, once we hit the cones we instantly had to shift twice straight into 3rd, pretty much.

9th Race - Randy vs Garry (40mph roll 2nd gear)
I think it's clear that IB isn't the fastest color haha

Pretty sure Huy was letting me win in the beginning and then floored it after I gained a little room...haha

Now Randy from a 30 mph roll in 1st, which was stupid, because I was at the top of my 3.91.

I also raced Huy's HPF e46 m3 and got smoked! Unfortunately, the video from that race was on my other camera on a bad memory card.

I never got to run Ram's "stock" f10...next time my friend!

All in all it was a fun day. I had to book out of there early, but it was well worth it!

It was great seeing old faces and meeting new ones.

Awesome write up Randy! Great videos aswell! Your car is a monster! You did amazing against that SC E90 M3 IMHO, looks like he got the hit too!
With your mods, and how well your car is datalogging, i knew your car would do great.. Great stuff buddy. Looks like the evolve intakes with your list of mods has helped let the engine breathe and helped those headers do their job even better

I think Huy was messing around as that kit he has should have left you from the start and it looks like he was holding back a bit and then just decided to punch it, I have seen his car in action and it performs very well.

Now the F10 on the other hand is a beast, Ram killed you more than he did last year oohhh:

Haha yes on both accounts. I'm actually 100% sure Huy was messing around with me. Although there are times where he has issues shifting. And unfortunately his car was falling apart today! Headlamp turn signals disappeared on his drive over and bits of his bumper flew off! I had to give him some painters tape to cover up the new holes in his bumper!

Garry is a newb, give him time.

Next time I'll add some race fuel and get a tune...

A guy showed up at PTech with a flat tire. Newer M3 with a complete matte black wrap, said he was on his way to shift sector but had to call and cancel. Turned out he had a loose valve stem oohhh: what a buzz kill.

It was definitely meeting you guys.
For my first time I tried to take easy on first couple runs.
For our 3rd run ... me and woody were neck to neck till he beat me by 1 1/2 car length.
Randy got me both times .... he got that extra oomph from his evolve intakes and his unsprung weight savings ....
we were actually the only group with BMW's ... there were lot of exotics. I will post more pics tomorrow.

Good runs today. F10 was running pretty well... trapping 158-159 hitting the speed limiter at the cones. I ran the 900hp Gintani E60M5 and he got me; he trapped 161 so its not making 900hp. I was probably setup at around 650whp range today. Once I dial the car in better I think 160 traps are doable.

Other runs were against a 458 Italia with exhaust and other mods; he trapped 152, so F10 was reeling him in after he got me off the dig.

Lots of fast cars.... great dinner with the gang on Fri and special thanks to Kamil and his wife for being great hosts at the event!
