Vanos noise

I could not find the latest comments on correcting the vanos noise problem. Is there a technical bulletin on this issue or is this something that each of us must argue with the service depts.?

I too would be interested to hear if anyone has any new information. I now have 12,000 miles and the VANOS is now noticeable all the time. Any word?

Please look at page 7 on this site, and you will find an answer from Peter Gutniak to me about this question.

The headline is "My M5 sounds bad".
