No, not on e39. Only e28 and e34

E39 uses hydraulic lifters and don't need valve adjustments

When you say valve do you not mean the throttle body valves/butterflies?

I know my E36 M3 Evo needed them doing.

I have never heard of them being done as they are electronic and presumably self adjusting? Im sure someone with much greater knowledge will either confirm or deny.
