Hey guys,

Im new to this forum but familiar with the brand. I currently own 2003 M5 with 34k miles, it is Alpine White with Caramel(extended leather). I have an air-cooled Porsche project that needs to get done in this century and I don't drive this car too often.

I have seen these E39 cars priced all over the place and I have no doubt that they are increasing in value. But where would a car as described fall today.

I've attached a few pictures....

Thanks!

Beautiful car! I suspect EAG will be contacting you soon. My feeling is that the car is worth $30-$35k on the open market; more in EAG's world

Agree that EAG is a great way to get a wholesale quote - you could then add 8-12% on top of that to come up with more of a private party sale figure. I would also search Bring A Trailer for recent E39 sales - they have been ramping up auction sales and that would give you a good sense of how the car might do nationally. Incidentally - they may be a good platform for you to sell it.

It's worth $22,000 can I get your contact so I can come purchase it! :)

Seriously in this market I could see that going above $35K even over $40K or possibly into crazier numbers if you can get 2 bidders who want white fighting over it probably from a hot weather location down south. The right day at the right auction and who knows as there really aren't many sub 50K Mile cars left.

I would highly consider BAT as your place to sell it and I would set the reserve at $33K. It looks immaculate. A well documented service history is going to be essential and paying a reputable BMW specialist independant shop for a pre-purchase inspection that you can publish, as well as getting it up on a lift for a serious photo shoot above, below, inside and out would go a log way towards getting this to hit $40K+.

On second reflection and a look at EAGs stock and prices I think you car would easily exceed $40K EAG will drop $10K plus making a car perfect before sale, even without that you have something pretty special there.

Nice! Basically comes down to patience. Someone will come eventually come around as that’s as clean an e39 M5 as they come.
