I know that we have beat down this subject of a V-10 M5. But just in case you guys have not received your copy of Motor Trend's May 2002 issue, page 35, mentioned that the 5.0 V-10 M5 is ON-SCHEDULE. Albeit, "the new design direction is said to play off the 7 Series theme."

The wait continues.....hmmm

Yes, I did see that article...but they could just be rumours. We'll see though.

Lets pray that MT are accurate on the V10 and very inaccurate on the 7 series styling

I wonder what the V-10 will sound like at full song . . .

Hopefully nothing like the Viper's V10 :sad1:

Why not?
The best sounds I ever heard at Willow Springs were from Viper and 5.0 Mustang! (Am I too American?:) No, I am not an American, seriously)

I hear you. We expect sharper and more mechanical song coming from M5.

Even though it sounds great, Motor Trend is not the final authority for me.

The guys at Motor Trend are the ones that named the PT Cruiser and the Lincoln LS car of the year. Honestly I think that Ford and Chrysler are slipping the proverbial "envelope" under the table.
