hello my new family!!!lovelove:byee55amg:M5eyes: picking up my E60 M5 this week
was wondering if you guys know how to get that extra 7 HP that the euro M5 has?.Ive heard that its as simple as removing an extra Air filter from the Air box.is this true? and if so how??? can a filter make such a difference and why did the us version need it?:dunno:

Per Wikipedia:

1 PS = 75 kp·m/s = 0.73549875 kW = 0.9863201652997627 hp (SAE)

500/0.986 = 507PS

I'm sure the numbers (whether 507 or 500) are assuming no
charcoal filters. Most likely you won't get exactly that number.
You might get a little more, you might get a little less. There's a
certain allowed variance from engine to engine on how much they will
output.

Presto...I just gave you the 507HP.

J/K Read above. It's just a difference in measurement standards. There is, however, a charcoal filter removal that most claim gives a little boost to performance. That topic is aside from the 500 vs 507 though
