got a few things the other day and finally had time to put them on today. :applause:

let me say that these ground control units are a work of art. i almost didn't want to put them on the car they were so nice and pretty. and thanks to Jay @ GC for helping me with my questions.

BBS RS-GT's in 19x8.5 and 19x10. i replaced those hideous bmw centers with the original BBS ones.

i got the suspension and wheels mounted up today. no after shots yet - it got dark on me. overall i'm pleased with the way it turned out. i drove around a little to settle things and then checked bolts, etc. - it drove much tighter than stock and felt really good. i'm sure i'll form more impressions the more i drive it.

the install wasn't that bad at all. the write ups on here especially from jaj and Machtig pretty much sum up the whole process from a-z. much thanks to both of them for documenting so well.

the only thing i'll need to fiddle with is the ride height. i couldn't get a good baseline before measurement so i don't have much other than eyeballing it to compare to. i know it looks pretty freakin' low especially in the rear. the tires are almost tucked in the fenders. one thing that did/does concern me about that is that i'm almost adjusted all the way at top as it is in the rear and it's still that low. i might be able to get two more turns out of the adjuster but after that i'll run out of threads. :dunno:

anyway - at least so far i'm really pleased. i'll get some after shots tomorrow. in the meantime here's an obligatory shot of my puppy dog...

:haha:

I like the rims and the suspension.

Nice dog. Did it try and help you install everything? I know my dog always thinks he can help me.

I can't wait to see pics of when it's all put together. What spring rate did you go with on the rear set?

thanks. he's still a puppy so rather than trying to help he was too busy trying to eat everything on the ground. wrenches, bugs, rocks, sticks, you name it...

What exactly did you get for the suspension and where did you get them? I'm in the market and am keeping my eyes open.

Thanks!

Wow that Diamond Black finish looks perfect on sterling! Congrats.

How do you like the continental's and which ones are they?

Yeah, mine went through that stage. He now just wants to open boxes and eat bugs and stick his nose in everything I do.

thanks. it turned out as well as i had hoped.

tires are ContiSportContact 2 Vmax. never had them before but so far they seem nice. were quiet on the highway and seemed fairly sticky the little bit of riding i've done.

looks aren't deceiving, it is pretty low.

i have the rear adjusted all the way to the top as it is in the above picture. the front still has plenty of adjustment left though.

i have the same springs(part #'s) as everyone else seems to be getting with this setup. so i'm not sure what the deal is. i have an email into jay @ GC to see what he has to say about it.
