looking on PSI's site (which includes no price and they also do not respond to email's) rates the stage 1 at 607 crank horse power. assuming that the price installed is close to 15-20k( if any more that just crazy) how does that justify the advantage of getting blown compared to NA parts (headers,full exhaust, pullies, intake). Im seeing guys getting around 600 HP by just adding NA parts and being cheaper than getting blown. Bottom line is am i missing something here? Also can someone please tell me the price of getting G power S/C stage 1 and 2. thank you

From what I've been told you will have spent well over $30K on the G-Power kit with install. But I cannot claim that's accurate because I personally have never looked into it. It's just hand wavy hearsay.

But from this thread on this board, it seems just the engine mods are 30,000 euro so that seems to lend weight to what I have been hearing:

I'm waiting for the ESS SC kit. Similar gain at the crank and in the $10K ballpark. Of course that doesn't include install.

I think the ESS thread had some discussion about the price of the G-Power kit as well.

I haven't seen anyone get close to 600hp unless you're talking about flywheel hp and not wheel hp.
I have headers, tune, pulleys, intake, full catless exhaust, and a tune and am at 500 whp on a dynapack.

In my opinion if you want to compete with the hypercars then it's absolutely worth it (keep in mind that the G-power stage 1 at 607 crank is just getting blown, no headers or full exhaust)

I would do it if I had the $ right now.

Bolt-on M5's are lucky to get 600bhp (I really highly doubt any actually do make it there). Most full bolt-on M5's gain probably around 30-40 peak whp, which really doesn't add up to a 93bhp increase.

If I recall, PSI's G-Power M5 was putting close to 600 at the wheels, which is far far more than you would get with bolt-ons.

Furthermore, the supercharging probably adds a lot of bottom end, while bolt-ons usually help mostly top-end by making the engine breathe better.

I would hope Frank from PSI chimes in. He can offer the facts.
From what I recall the G-Power SKI (close is to stroker power but more torque) is about $27K plus labor.
The G-Power SKII is $41K. This is the one that's close to 600 rwhp.

I guess it all boild down to how much ESS is going to offer their kit for. If it is going to be in the 10k range then im going to be blown sooner than later. thanks guys

the stage2 shd be enough to kill a tuned rs6. with exhaust mods and so on, 600+whp shd be possible, check with them on this.

if you all worry of reliability, we can always make a group buy on mahle 10.5:1 cr pistons and carillo rods! get gustav to talk to them :p hehe.

I hope they are smart about pricing and do not get greedy with it but I know FI is the only way to go.
