After much research, upgraded the Mark III nav unit in my '01 to a Mark IV. Upon installation, found the Mark IV had a custom splash screen, upon further research, downrevved from V32 software to V30 then back to V32 to remove the custom splash image. Somewhere along the way this appears to have tripped the country code on the car to England (nav now reflects metres and English voice over accent). Is there an easy means to reset the car's nav back to US country code or is a visit to a dealer in order?

Usually, when the Nav's firmware has been reloaded to a previous version, and then updated to a newer version the distance defaults to yards and miles (US feet and miles). So, if the nav' is showing meters check the settings menu for M/E and make sure they are set properly.

You should be able to reset the region with either SSS/Progman, DIS, Navcoder.
