One of the interesting things here is how people hear what they want to hear. If Scott gets beat by an M5 then turns around and wins a race against another M5, the only thing the M3 boards see is the race Scott won. Then they all start patting themselves on the back about how great the M3 is, the power curve blah blah. I think Scott's wants you to see the big picture. All of the cars, all of the dyno's, not just his M3 or VFs M3. I'm not trying to pick on anyone, that is just the nature of these boards.

BTW, as far as I know, nothing has changed on Scott's M3 sense installation. The car is running exactly as it was the day after the install. Except for the magical DynoJet, which added some power.

I get what your saying, but honestly I don't feel that Drew and I are like that at all. We've posted many vids of me losing to M5's and never discredited anything about them. And on the reverse side, have posted vids winning against M5's and haven't had the "cocky" attitude about it at all. These are cars, and we do this all for fun.
It's not that you were "cocky" or not, but after Scott posted the vid of him winning ... then posted a vid of him losing, you chose to agrue that the win was more substantial as far as proving the validity of the M3's power. Again, I am not trying to single you out. I am not sure what I would do. It is easy to be defensive of your own personal investment (in this case an M3). If an M3 beat an M6 I would be skeptical (I own an M6).

Also, don't you find it unlikely that an M3 could beat a 911 turbo (0 to 60 in 3.8)? Just realistically? They are both light weight sport cars but the 911 is on another level. Not that price matters (but it does) but a $155K v/s $55K 'come on?!?... I am just saying one video does not make it reality.

As Scott stated we could do a run against my Ford GT. If I should miss a gear and Scott pull away... that does not mean the M3 is putting down 650+ hp. It means I screwed up and Scott is rubbing it in my face.

Just consider ALL the facts. There are many being presented by several different sources.

Nah, he just posted up some vids so people can see some other results, nothing more. Regardless I don't see the vids quite the same way some of you do, but I guess that's been one of the problems all along, fair enough.
I guess I don't understand that comment. How do you see the videos different from the rest of us?

This is me running Grant's M6, pretty Dark, but Aram's words say it all, I'm at 7.5 psi about 440WHP at this time, Enjoy. :) If grant was modded, I'd venture to say he'd get me.

Thank you for the post but given that I am an M6 owner it is easy to dismiss with the mod factor... which is to say an a heavily modded minivan could beat an M6... depends on the mods.

Don't find it unlikely at all, 0-60 he'd smoke me on street tires, but from a roll this is me running a 997TT, more than 1 video, at 8psi and a few more bolt ons, we did quite a few runs, definently a fun night.

I don't own a Porsche but have driven a few stock turbo 911s. When the power comes on it's wild. I still find this unlikely but you posted the video so it must be true.

Where in those intial videos is there an indication that he hit the rev limiter? I can understand 1 shift on one pull, we all do it, but listen to the motor in those vids, nothing indicates he hit the rev limiter as far as I can tell. The driver and passangers are blown away at how Scott pulled.
You can hear it very plainly in the first video... at least I could, just before Darren says "Oh [email protected]" The second video is hard to make out because Darren is laughing.

The Ford GT would most likely get me pump vs. pump, but on race fuel I might have chance, what did you run in the 1/4 mile? I hit 11.5 at 122MPH. :)
I haven't taken it to a strip. Maybe this summer. This is one of those cases where you own an M3 so you want to believe it's the most fantastic car on the road. If you had some race fuel it would be a good run huh? Do you think Scott's car will hang with the 105 he has in it now? We will see.

I explained it all in my last post, but here's a quick summery of what I mean, I don't hear Q hitting the rev limiter AT ALL, and I don't see the follow up Vids from 3rd gear up to 6th, as an *** kicking they look pretty close through 3 gears, no doubt Q starts to pull, but he doesn't start to walk until very high speeds and when he does it's not by alot.
It's there, at some point when I feel like cutting the video to bring out the sound I will, for your benefit. Right now I feel like I have wasted way to much energy arguing with someone on the Internet. ouich

That's a funny vid of the minivan, I'm not sure how it's relevant, but I guess I should have been more specific about the mods, if the M6 had some bolt ons, headers, exhaust, pullies, ECU flash, etc. he'd got me at that time, that's all Bro, just showing you that it's probable and the runs were damn close, he got me in another run. I saw one today, sounded unreal, I can't open my car up right now though a new clutch just went in.
I think you do understand how it is relative, hence your reply.

They are beasts, I was just showing you, not trying to say every SC'd M3 will win, clearly they won't. With an ECU flash that car would get me good, the 997TT is my favorite car, to beat one was a great feeling, no doubt it's possible that if I ran into another one he might get me, all cars are not created equal, maybe he hit the rev limiter in all those runs. :D ;) A friend has a Tip, we plan on doing some runs soon, I'll be sure to post those up.... ect... ect... ect...
You beaten me with your need to have the last word. This discussion seems fruitless so I will end it with this...

As I have stated before:

Nothing has changed on Scott's car. The car is not any better than it was the day he made that first post. Please reread the part where I wrote "nothing has changed." He is still looking for answers to his power questions and why he is having problems beating a stock M5. Ask him... I am not making this stuff up. He has presented ALL the information he compiles (whether it helps make his case or not) in hopes of finding some help (not just a pat on the back when things seem to go his way). As far as I know no one from V/F has called him back. Do you have any suggestions as to why he is having problems beating a stock M5? No because you believe he can.

See you guys later, I'm gona go take my medication. (Scott, post some vids, we are running out of material)
