Currently got 1350 on the clock, I have tried to follow BMW recommendations for the first 1200 miles, so far I have added no oil. The oil was changed at the 1200 mile inspection. Now that the car can be pushed a little harder, it will be interesting to see what happens with the oil?
UK owners-oil problems ?
Has anyone in the UK experienced the same problems with oil consumption as so many people in the States seem to have ?

Hi Mark,
I am from Australia & can report that I have had the BMW dealership top up my oil at 5500Km's. I guess it's fair to assume that your oil warning message will eventually rear it's head..

Have just completed 2,000 miles and used 1 ltr so far. I put this in prior to the 1200 mile service. Since then have used little oil if any.
