My 19" rims had 245/35 F and 275/30 R. I would fit something like 265 or 275 F with 285 R (given the talk about front rims on the rear and M5 understeer)
Do the Maths and the Radius of 245/40 18 = 653mm
275/35 18 = 649mm
275/30 19 = 648mm
285/30 19 = 653mm
265/30 19 = 641mm
265/35 19 = 668mm
255/35 19 = 661mm
Given the above I would stick to 285/30 R and either 275/30 (not sure if the tyre would be a little big for a 9inch rim ?) 265/30 or 35 (neither is spot on unfortunately in rolling radius) probably go for the 265/30 ?
The tyre manufacturers will give a recommended rim size and range, I prefer a slightly larger rim as this stops the tyre moving around, however with a 30 profile there is nowhere for it to go !
