Have now enjoyed my M6 for 2 years and 19k+ miles. WONDERFUL CAR.

But gotta think that the gas prices will make this car very difficult to sell. In B.R. LA there have been several new M6s on the showroom floor for some time, including one 2006 M6.

Now I see that the new M3 is almost as fast as the M6, and prolly quicker. And it has the hard top convert.

And the new Nissan GT-R is faster around the track, by a bunch.

Like most of you, I think about the next car before I get out of the lot with my latest car. In fact, I put a deposit on the M6 on the day I got the first SMG M3 in town, in Jan 2002.

Then I realize that I cannot afford to buy the latest thing everytime something new comes out...or if I did, my kids wouldn't be as happy when I kick off. Gotta show SOME restraint.

So I will drive my M6 for the full 50k miles, until the warranty runs out anyway. I will know that I am driving a world class car, one that most car lovers will continue to drool over long after BMAW quits making them.

Unless I fall in love again.

Just curious, did your MPG improve in the last 2 years of driving the M6?

NADA!

Summitch drinks gas, it don't get any better.

Thought about taking it easy on the go pedal but why own the beast and not use what it has?
