Recently the speedo needle has become 'twitchy' and this is since I replaced one of the diff driveshaft oil seals. I tend to notice this at around 70mph when it can waver back and forth over a 10/15 mph discrepency, then at other times it is quite stable.

Could this be the diff sensor?

Could well be the diff sensor Richard,
however the one and only time the speedo played up
on my car it was the rear wiring harness.

The wiring harness group includes the speed sensor wire as well
as edc & levelling wires.
Just before my edc went "kerplunk" all those years ago the speedo played
up on one drive home.

Might be worth investigating.

Mind you, tapping an oil seal into place could damage the sensor pick up...

Regards,

Alan.

Richard ,

Are you sure that it's not due to your twitchy right foot or are you lining up an excuse for your next speeding charge ?!
