Yeah, I have to agree with Bill. The regular Tubi is plenty loud for my tastes. This ain't no Corvette. It starts out with you thinking, is that all there is? This is what I paid $2k for? Then after a few thousand miles, it gets louder. Right now, I think it's perfect. I can hear it, but it's never intrusive. But everyone has their own tastes. The guys on the M3 board like exhausts so loud they're like race exhausts. But a lot of people on this board don't like them that loud.

A bit off-topic but close. I had the pleasure of driving down a stretch of Hwy 1 in California this weekend behind an Aston Martin DB9 and what looked to me a Ferrari 360 Modena. The 360 had what I believe was a set of Tubis in it, and if they come in loud and louder flavors like they do for our cars, this car seemed to have the Rumore version. The shriek from the exhaust was melodious and wonderful, but really loud. I was following at a respectful distance (in my convertible with the top down, not my M5), as I didn't want to eat a Ferrari if he had to nail the brakes. The 360 was playing the gears up and down. My wife and I turned off the stereo so we could listen. After maybe 10-20 miles, we noticed a few things. One, it was so loud even at our distance, it was able to drown out my stereo unless I really cranked it. Two, we got a bit tired of it. I don't know if it was as loud inside the Ferrari as it was to us behind, but the 360 was a Spyder and had his top down, too, and while I love the song of that Ferrari engine, it was just too much for us, even though it was a relatively short dose. So, the message here is that you need to be careful what you wish for. If you go for a loud muffler, be sure you will want to live with it. :M5launch:
