If you're looking for louder, you have to go Rumore. BUT, I was sitting in the back seat of my car last night while my brother was driving and the exhaust (standard Tubi) experience was SO MUCH louder from that seat than the driver's seat. Especially has a lot more low end boom to it from the rear seat, and it's definitely not hitting the crossbar (I know that thought popped into a few of your heads). I have to take a few vids this weekend...

Same experience when riding in the back seat of Andre's (MPower) 2003 M5 with Kelleners. MUCH, MUCH louder from the back seat. Sounded WONDERFUL :15:

I have the regular tubi and it's perfect, certainly would not want go any louder. That's not what this car "is". Fine on a performance coupe, but not an M5. JMO

Yeah, I have to agree with Bill. The regular Tubi is plenty loud for my tastes. This ain't no Corvette. It starts out with you thinking, is that all there is? This is what I paid $2k for? Then after a few thousand miles, it gets louder. Right now, I think it's perfect. I can hear it, but it's never intrusive. But everyone has their own tastes. The guys on the M3 board like exhausts so loud they're like race exhausts. But a lot of people on this board don't like them that loud.

I concur with Need4Spd. I have had mu Tubi for 23k miles and a couple of years now and they do get louder with time and miles. Now, it is not too loud, but there is a defenative increase in music from the 4 tail pipes on hard acceleration.

At the risk of being redundant, I agree. I've had mine for about 5k miles and while they've gotten louder, they're still respectable for driving around town. Anyone notice how they sound right after a track session, when you're pitting? I'd describe it as nasty and pissed-- love it, it's like the exhaust has multiple personalities.

Rumore.. No question. Mine is barely audible in the cabin, and sounds very sporty, almost not loud enough.. but just raspy enough to be fun.. !
How about if you cruise at 180-220 km/h?

Wanna go for the Rumore, but it have to be acceptable if you are highspeedcrusing without giving your passangers a headache.

Hard choice....

Got a nice offer from Swedish Beastpower. Emailed Tubistyle in UK before
and they strongly recommended the Rumore. Even promised if i didnt like it
for whatever reason they would take it back, revert the car to standard
and give me 100 £ !.

I have never herad tubi in person, But I have heard Kelleners and I loved it, so much so that I am getting it installed next week, but its all subjective on what you want, personally with so many endorsements for tubi it probably is a very good product and would consider it, But I have fallen in love with the rumble of Kelleners. But if I were to get Tubi, I would get the Rumore Version, from what I have heard on audio clips, Josh

Josh a la Renegade(well 1/2),

If you can make to our little get together Friday the 13th at 5pm here in Houston you can listen to a well broken in Tubi (a bit louder) on my car. I have a thread on it, but it will be at McCormick's at the 610 West Loop and Post Oak. The shopping Center is called Uptown Park and we will be in front at the valet area for happy hour or should I say M5 hour!

Hope to see you there.

Mark, I think we are trying to adjust our plans to come that weekend, however with Navy and the way the they write the flight schedule, I ussaully dont know what I will be doing the following day until the day prior at 1600 in the afternoon, and I am also coming up on my cross country soon, which will be over some YTBD weekend, regardless though, when we do come I will be sure to look you up, I would like to see your car and have a drink:cheers: , I wish I had the ability to make firmer plans, but at this stage of the game I am at the mercy of the Navy, Josh

I didn't know Tubi did M5 exhausts. I have a tubi w/test pipes on my 348 and it sounds brilliant. Probably too loud for alot of the guys I hear around here. If the M5 Tubi sounds like the 348.....it would be wonderful!

Hey Alex,

The regular Tubi is fine at 180-220, but is even better at 270-300. :hihi:

There is no problem inside. But you certainly get lots of looks from Outside. :M5thumbs:

I have had the regular Tubi on my car for about one and a half years now. It sound very good.... would not want it any louder as for comparison... the Tubi is louder than my Bill Boat exhaust on my supercharged 993.

LOL on your decision!!!

I have just got back from 2k mile trip around Europe(the highlight being the Formula 1 circuit in Monaco!)

I went back about 18 times through the "Tunnell" just to listen to the sweet sweet music that the Tubi Rumore makes.. It's deepened in tone now and sounds much much better.. But in normal driving its not at all intrusive, and only shows it's character when being nailed through the gears. And then its a really fantastic sound. I can honestly say its the single best modification i've ever made to any car ever. And i've done a few.

If anyone in the London area can be bothered to trip out to Chelmsford, I promise you a ride with a sountrack you won't forget.

A bit off-topic but close. I had the pleasure of driving down a stretch of Hwy 1 in California this weekend behind an Aston Martin DB9 and what looked to me a Ferrari 360 Modena. The 360 had what I believe was a set of Tubis in it, and if they come in loud and louder flavors like they do for our cars, this car seemed to have the Rumore version. The shriek from the exhaust was melodious and wonderful, but really loud. I was following at a respectful distance (in my convertible with the top down, not my M5), as I didn't want to eat a Ferrari if he had to nail the brakes. The 360 was playing the gears up and down. My wife and I turned off the stereo so we could listen. After maybe 10-20 miles, we noticed a few things. One, it was so loud even at our distance, it was able to drown out my stereo unless I really cranked it. Two, we got a bit tired of it. I don't know if it was as loud inside the Ferrari as it was to us behind, but the 360 was a Spyder and had his top down, too, and while I love the song of that Ferrari engine, it was just too much for us, even though it was a relatively short dose. So, the message here is that you need to be careful what you wish for. If you go for a loud muffler, be sure you will want to live with it. :M5launch:
