Im trying to replace the headlight swtich in the instrument bezel .... seemed like a simple straight forward thing ...... most switch replacements are just SNAP in deals ... this isnt working at all ... what the magic code word ???
looks like it is a simple twist off but then again it does not ...

Baffled!!!!

You mean you got the old switch out, unplugged the wire, and replaced with a new switch, replugging the wire?

Or will the old switch not come out?

Or will the new switch not go in?

Confused.

If I recall correctly (it was on a 320i BMW), you pull off the switch. Underneath you will find either ... a small hex nut holding the switch internals in place, or a couple of small holes ... If it is the later, you have to find something to insert in the holes (like a small pair of needle nose pliers, or if you have it, a circlip remover) and twist it off.

Just my rusty memory at work ... but, it may help.

was easier than looked ... me sttuuuuupid

figured it out ..... as usual REALLY simple to get the switch out ... and in ... all done bu the crying .... broke one to figure it out .. Pull the knob off stuupid !!!
