I have been trying to look all over the board for anything related to bleeding procedures. Everything I have found was through INPA etc. Is it possible to manually bleed the system while the transmission is out of the vehicle?

Currently trying to fix a leaky rear main, but since the transmission is out, I figure I would start cleaning things and replacing my clutch control valve since everything else is 90% new. Another question would be, does a clutch slave cylinder necessarily have to be leaking from inside the transmission to determine if it's bad or not. I'm sitting here inspecting everything, and it all looks clean and dry other than the rear main oil that is on the bottom of the bell housing. Sorry if this seems out of the ordinary, but trying to learn as much as I can here lol
