Was wondering, if the North American M5 market is so important to BMW, then why must we wait till after the European introduction of the M5? That's a long 6 to 12 months wait. Almost into 2nd year production.

The new M5 was designed for worldwide consumption, just doesn't make sense for the North American wait

Afterall, didn't the North American dealers pressured BMW into producing a 6 speed manual for the North American M5. You figured with that kind of pull we Americans need now wait impatiently.

Forgive me for my anxiousness ouich

Pah! I put my deposit down in February 2003 and was promised one of the first cars out. Production was delayed from last Autumn until the Spring and then this oil pump issue comes up. I was told I would have my car in June "at the latest" but this was then put back until July (due to Individual options) and now they're telling me August 26th!

At least you know you're going to get yours later, I've been getting the round around and it's not funny anymore grrrrrrr
