I recently put 305/30-20 tires on my 06 M5 with forgestar wheels. Initially upon installation, I was experiencing tire rub in the rear which was worse on the passenger side. Took the car to BMW where I had it aligned. Left rear rub is gone, but the right rear is still rubbing. Took it back to BMW today to have it re-inspected and they are advising that everything is properly set, even though the right rear wheel is sitting visibly farther out of the wheel well than the left rear wheel.

My previous wheels (factory knock offs) had a slight amount of rub in the right rear, but only with passengers.

Any ideas on what could be causing this one wheel to rub?

I have searched around and have heard that there is some plastic near where the bumper and fender connect that could be shaved down, but it seems like I am rubbing on the top of the fender as well.

I have the same issue on mine, except it's my left rear tire that sticks out more. By any chance are you lowered at all? Do you know the specs BMW set your alignment to?
