Popped out to the car at lunchtime and lifted the gaitor to see if there was any reason for a lack of light....and the two wires have been cut.

From what I can tell, fuses 24 and 38 are responsible for this, and 24 is also used for the tyre pressure warning system. Both fuses are intact, can anyone see any good reason why these two wires would have been cut, and would there be any issue with reconnecting them and seeing how it goes? Any risk of hurting the tyre pressure monitoring system if that fuse blows?
