Does anyone really think that the M5 isn't running has at least 600 crank HP? I mean, seriously, there is no way that 560 HP results in the kind of performance that people are recording. It's just basic Physics. Looking at the trapspeeds and 100-200 kph times, it is pretty obvious. This will undoubtedly be verified by independent dyno results, showing some 500+ HP to the rear wheels.
I'm speaking as an engineer who has done consulting work for some of the major car companies (and a degree in physics). Given the extensive modifications to the X5/6 M engine, who really thinks this resulted in only 5 hp? It's actually pretty funny, and I'm sure the M engineers are getting a kick out of all the discussions on how a 4,300 lb car car run this fast with only 560 HP.
Given the modifications, I would guess the M5 is running close to 620 HP. I'm especially looking forward to Gustav's airstrip runs.
