So like many others I'm sure I found out the issue with my sunshade is a plastic cog that has worn on a small section causing it to disengage. Why would they install a plastic cog in an assembly with metal ones? Flexibility maybe idk.. Anyway if anyone is having issues it could be the problem. Motor is fine thankfully. Now I'm trying to figure out a way to fix it without having to wait a month for a new one to arrive. Wish I had a 3D printer and knew how to use one.. any tricks or ideas welcome. It'd be nice to flip the cog because the worn area is on the bottom lip but as you can see in the picture I'd probably break it trying to get the sleeve out.
