Good afternoon all I'm having my Sills replaced on my e34 and noticed that the drains from the sunroof run inside the sills on both sides and from the front and rear of the car.

Is this the normal place the drains are ran? as it seems a bit silly to have them putting water inside the sill?

Yes , that is the design .

Just ensure that the exit points on the sill are left unobstructed after the replacement .

Unfortunately many E34 M5s suffer with corroded jacking points / sills due to these drain points becoming blocked , thereby giving the water nowhere to run to baby , nowhere to hide ..........

I thought of this drill a small hole at the front and the rear of the sill weld a elbow over the hole then extend the drain pipes so you can jubilee clip them on the end of the elbows
