Steering angle sensor DIY fix - it worked

Hey guys. Just read through all 6 pages. Car in question is my 2008 550i m-sport. I have what seems to be a steering angle sensor problem

1) DSC light on
2) BRAKE light on
3) TPMS light on (this could be a serperate issue though)
4) start off assistance inactive
5) cruise control not working

BUT

All of the turn signals and high beam and adaptive lightning options still work just fine. So would this still be a steering sensor problem. I noticed that on a cold start there are no lights on the car. And i could throw it in drive or reverse and move forward and the lights stay off. BUT AS SOON as I turn the steering wheel...boom, all lights are on.

Does this sound like the steering angle sesor problem?

.

Yes ... same issues were with my car ... except no tpms error ... just follow step by step directions nd ur error messages will clear ... good luck
I took it all apart and found the disk to be quite clear...just a bit hazy and then on further inspection I noticed cracks radially along the whole disk.

Is it possible to buy just the disk? Probably not, so is it possible to buy a used SZL and then remove the good working disk and install it in my current SZL to avoid having to reprogram it?

Ok I ordered a totally new SZL. it was just under $400 shipped.

I'm just deciding if I should install the new one and pay the fee to have it reprogrammed., or "risk" taking the new one apart and installing the disc into my old module so I can avoid reprogramming.......?
