I've a correction for this. We've ordered our car without 4MA seats, and the seats look exactly the same as the car with 4MA seats we tried in sweden.

The non-4MA seats also have width adjustment, but not active width adjustment, so it wont automaticly adjust when driving.

Are the number of creases in the centre of the seatback the same?

What about the colour of the rear of the seat?

They are identical, well almost, this is my edit as I just went out to the car to be sure. I could have sworn the rear of the seat was Sepang Leather but it turned out to be black. The car in Sweden had Sepang Leather all-over the place. But really, it's unnoticeable...

Had first 8250 rpm experience 30 minutes ago, only in P400 mode though, lovely!!

What seats are these ?
Standard sports seats (note the backs are black not red as they would have been with Multifunction seats).

So let me get this straight... there are 3 types of seats: standard sport (2 crease lines), multifunction without active adjustment (3 crease lines), and multifunction with active adjustment (1 crease line). I'm also assuming only the 2 and 1 crease versions will be available in the US. Correct me if I'm wrong.

No - sorry you are incorrect.

The number of creases is definitely as follows:

Multifunction seat (4MA) = 2 lines
Sport seats (standard) = 3 lines

I suggest that BMW are only offering two types of seat now. The show cars with the single line seats were probably preproduction versions hence the confusion.

Option 4MA multifunction seats includes the automatic width adjustment.
