Ok so long story short I'm not entirely happy with my rear deck emblem placement.

Short of ordering a new emblem I was thinking it might be possible to remove the emblem and replace the double sided tape then reposition.

Can anyone provide the specs for the tape BMW uses? I know it's black double sided foam tape, but I'm looking for a specific product (4462, 4062, etc.). If someone could provide a link that would also be great.

While I do not have a part number, I would go with the thin 3M automotive adhesive tape.

I'd say give it a go!
Its not like that part has tons of pressure or anything fighting against it. The only concern would be heat and whether the tape moves when hot.

new one is ~$45 and you be happier with the end result. Any 2x sided tape will make it bulkier and you will see the thick emblem every time you pass by the trunk.
