Hi...

I'm looking for Hartge or RD Sport springs...I tried GGC or something in So. Cal, but no one ever got back to me at the place.

I wanted to line up some places to contact...any leads would be appreciated. Also, anyone know who stocks the Eibach kit? Tirerack is sold out...

Talk to Danny (very nice guy). If you would be so kind to let him know a John from NorCal with an M5 who he was helping out with Frederico at RDSport even though I did not buy my springs and sway bars through him. He was very helpful to me...

Be careful the RDSport sway bar I got direct from RDSport was solid and a brick if you decide to go that route. It has to weight at least 10 if not 15lbs more than the stock. Needles to say it will be coming off the car.

Not to happy with the springs I got or how they ride, either (but maybe that is the sway bar). Apparently they are making the sway bars solid now (my front one came solid and the rear is hollow)??? The stock front one is hollow and much lighter. Dinan would be a better route IMHO and probably what I will do. As far as the springs, I can let you know how it rides after removing the front sway bar, but my only complaint is that the car is kind of wobbling and does not feel very planted at all as the M5 should. So might be the too stiff of a front sway bar or the spring rate needs to be stiffer. Hopefully this goes away with the sway bar, if not then I Might go H&R or might just go all out and do some KW V3... One reverse step at a time, I guess is best

It must be either the sway bar being to stiff or the spring rate being to soft. Apparently they haven't changed them since they first came out, but for some reason mine were manufactured in 1/2006 and did not come in an RDSport box. I truly think I got some old sway bar prototype or something and some old springs they dug up off the bak of a shelf. Not too good of a first experience with RDSport for me.

I already changed back to the stock wheels and tested the ride to eliminate the new wheels as the culprit of the sloppy ride...

I am hoping it is just the sway bar.

Anyways point of my story is that I would specify that I want new 2008 products in original packaging if you go RDSport and if you go with the sway bars make sure they are hollow (I doubt they would go to a solid bar when they are already getting 30% more rigidity over the stock hollow sway bar with 12% weight savings as their website claims).

Friend of mine has a complete RDSport M5 and it is awesome. I think the product is probably good and fine, just some bad luck with my dealings with RDSport... I was hoping Danny would let me know if the RDSport bars he gets in are hollow and if he could get me the 2008 springs in original RDSport packaging so I know I have the latest engineering and spring rate, etc. He gets them direct from RDSport as well, it is just that this one guy for RDSport is very busy and maybe I am too demanding. In anycase I will probably just remove the RDSport stuff from my car and go a different route. Sucks, because I love the way the car sits on RDSport...

Yup, I personally know Danny and he is a really friendly down to earth guy.

But Sam runs the show. Either one will do!

Does turner stock the Hartge Springs? I could only find the H&R ones.

Sounds like I'm gonna stay away from the RD sport ones...Definetely not looking for something that stiff.

Th RDSport springs are NOT stiff. Some say they are softer than H&R. The front sway bar I RECEIVED is what is solid, heavy and stiff. I need to determine if the wobble or shimmy I am feeling is due to the spring rate or the sway bar. Hopefully and more than likely it is the particular sway bar I got. Hopefully RDSport is not really making them solid like the one I got.

I don't want to give them a bad name, just caution you on what to watch out for...

What did you end up getting?

As for the RDSport springs, I feel bad that Glock is experiencing all the trouble since I suggested he get them. My car feels fine and I've been completely happy with the springs so maybe it's the sway bars (I don't have the RDSport ones).
