Basically it was AC Schnitzer's version of the M5 or Alpina B10.

They wanted a more sporty version of the e34 and changed the suspension, wheels and (some say) engine management system.

Not very common though!

Various companies used to breath on the 535 Engine,
with Minor head work & mapping they used to claim 235-245hp...

Coupled to the ZF 4-speed auto...it hardly seems worth it TBO...:dunno:

Interesting car, overpriced for what it is. I wish it was that easy to import to the US as Canada--I'd be looking at that Lancia Delta Integrale!

You'd be looking at it indeed. On the hoist. Every day.

I the car the thread is about was initially call ACS5, I think I still have the decal somewhere for the boot as the prev owner probably had some work done on the car at AC Schnitzer
