Just purchased a Slimmbones carbon front lip brand new and I’m having trouble installing it. I’ve reached out to Eurotek who I purchased it from but I’m told that this is has come from a metal mold so can’t possibly be a problem with the part. However I just can’t get it to line up at all, look how far out it is on the one side. Am I missing something obvious here ?

I think you might have started wrong. I think you should start in the center that way you split the difference, not amplify it to one side. You say it does not bend but it should flex, at least the boat parts I make that are designed to, do. Those relief notches look similar to what we do when we want some adjustment. Bend is not the best word flexible is likely more descriptive because that stuff is strong.
I would use a bunch of spring clamps, start in the center, and you may find that when held firmly there is enough flex, but maybe not.
It does sort of look like the bumper is too short or part to big, I don't know I am not there and in person your opinion often changes from what you saw in pics.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice, I have also tried just starting from the centre as you suggested but there just isn’t the flex in the part to overcome the size of the gap that it’s out by.

looking at the pictures it looks like the design / manufacturer of these parts has changed over the years as it looks different to the ones in the other threads.

For anyone interested will update when I get reply from the seller.

I don't think he is... I think he sold his business to someone else and joined that company for awhile but got out of the game. The acquiring got the brand name and design, molds(?) and still uses it. Could be wrong but back when I got one of his original lips, he then kinda disappeared for a while and reemerged with the new company. Eurotek I think.
