Unless you are dead set on getting a replacement in that trim, black leather knobs and boots can be found used here for cheap. Or you could go with an F10 shifter for just over $100 (if that Tischer deal still exists) which is what I did.

I'd hate to get rid of the lit-up shifter. Always thought that was pretty cool.

The F10 shifter lights up just as the e39 one does. All that is needed would be to remove the ring where the leather wraps around the F10 base, and use super glue to mount it to the e39 base. It took me all of 10 mins to do.

Let me take pictures of mine when I get home, and see if it's a wood match.

I switched to a different shifter, and and not using my original one.

Below is a pic from the Dealer listing when I got it, but honestly my wood appears darker in person

Yeah, I'm 99% sure we're a match. You have the black "luxury" leather, same as me, and the bruyere was standard with that (in 02' anyway...I'll *assume* 03' as well). PM me and we'll work something out.
