Service interval

My 1st light has gone out at 2700 miles. What are others experiencing for miles driven until the 1st oil service? Does anyone know whether it is based on miles driven or hours of operation?

It's based on the amount of fuel run through
the car is my understanding. I changed my oil at 1200 miles.
