Guys,
Other half drove the M5 for the first time the other day and commented that she couldn't see much in the wing mirrors, or the rear view mirror. Now that I look at them, I'm wondering if they are constantly dipped, and the system not working?
What would be the best way to check, apart from the obvious method of shining a torch at the sensor and then putiing my thumb over it. I've had self-dipping rear view mirrors on 2 previous cars and always found it to work well. My car is fitted with BMW tinted windows (which I wondered if they would affect the operation of the dipping) but I think the mirrors are tinted all the time.
Ideas?
