I have not ordered or attempted this. I do want to replace mine too and I am interested in what other folks have to share from an experience basis --how hard is this in other words?? :)

Subscribed for a DIY, I also need this done, unstitching the leather can be tricky though.

I did it last summer. It's tedious, and there are a *lot* of sharp edges... but it's doable in a day.

There might be a DIY on here, or possibly bf.c.

You don't have to unstitch it; there are a bunch of sharp spikes that are bent down and hold the leather against the seat frame. You bend them up/out to release the dead cow.

I wore gloves and still cut myself a couple of times.

Apparently you can purchase some new hog rings and hog ring pliers, that should help with install. Im more curious if alot of the motors and stuff have to be removed to get the foam and leather off

Someone here did the replacement and used zip ties insted of the hog rings.
