Where can I find the engine number? How many digits do they genrally have and, can you trace the chassis number using the engine number as a reference. I have just purchased a second hand engine.
Any additional info always appreciated.

Rear of the engine below the intake - just in front of where the gearbox joins - on the B36 anyhow - can't imagine the B38 being different.
