Hi all,

How long does it take for everyone's RPM indicator lights to all turn off? Every monrning it takes mine about 5 minutes for them all to turn off...that seems too short of a time for me...Is this normal?

Thanks,
??????

sounds about right, as it starts warming up, they all won't even light up in the morning. THey monitor oil temp, which does come up pretty quickly.

Thanks Mike,

I test drove one at Smythe before I purchased mine and that one took forever for all of them to turn off.

My RPM lights also go out rather quickly, compared to the Oil temp gauge. The actual oil temp gauge takes a good 10-15 minutes of driving to get to normal operating temperature, but the lights gradually go out in about 5 minutes. I don't pay much attention to them anyways, as I don't ever step into the throttle until the actual oil temp gauge is in the normal range.

Thanks Ducman...i gauge the oil temp also as that takes longer and the safer approach.

Good tip!
