Wanted guys, i don't have them.
Having got a new beater sorted i can now afford to take the Beast off the road to do this over the next 2 months or so
Before the Search Police jump on me, i have had a look using the google custom search and a looky in Raikku's DIY.
Unfortunately, nothing in the way of a definitive list.
I have the rod end part numbers and con rod bolt numbers, but obviously there are other bits needed.
Do you need the upper and lower pan gaskets or OK to reuse? I have a feeling they are a once use only.
Also, i heard of peeps bending the snorkel tubes and so i would ideally like a 1 stop thread with a list of parts needed if possible.
Apologies if this has been covered, i simply couldn't find it.
So its
rod ends top 1124147493 x 8
rod ends bottom 1124147492 x 8
Con Rod Bolts 11241405890 x 16
Feel free to add to that.
As a last point can someone please tell me the point of using plastigage etc on replacing these? As i am (luckily) not showing signs of rod knock etc etc, then surely the point of any ovality in the journals etc will be a moot point as i will be replacing quiet, apparently "worn" shells for brand new ones which will fit better???
I am not being silly but feel its a valid question. Explanations welcome
Thanks Guys
Jamie
