Hi,

Could anyone please tell me or point me to where I could find out/see how to remove the overhead panel which contains the lights/sunroof switch?

Thanks

I've removed the panel many times. The easiest way I've found is to pry the cover off the lighting unit (the plastic cover closest to the windshield). I'm able to do this by just using a fingertip on the driver's side short edge of the cover. Once this is popped off I can simply pull down the light housing, it's just held in by two spring clips. Then I can slide the alcantra (or whatever material it is) cover with the Homelink transmitter and sunroof control towards the front of the car and down. Reverse to reassemble.

Good luck

I pried off the courtesy light panel first with a flathead screwdriver (it pops out with just a little effort), slid the sunroof panel forward a couple mm's and then pulled it down. You don't have to remove the courtesy light panel first, but it makes it a little easier and you have to do it anyway if you're hardwiring a radar detector and plan on running the power cord through the rear view mirror mount.

Pry the plastic light assembly out with a screwdriver...rear edge first then from will follow. Then slide the panel slightly forward to reveal the rear edge holding slips..grasp and snap whole thing down and out.
