This is very sad. I think people who are saying bad things should stop and think what if this was your friend. Yes he drove crazy and could of injured someone on the road, but he didn't, someone else killed him. I haven't herd one word from anyone about the driver that actually crashed the car besides paul. I to think the driver needs to be charged with something.

We all have done our share of crazy driving and at some point in time probably endangered the lives of other people on the road including our own.

Lets have some respect for the deceased. He cant pay for his mistakes any more than he already has.

It makes me sick to see so much hate and ill comments about someone who was probably just like all the rest of us.

I'm not condoning what he did or how he drove, I just think there should be a little more respect shown for someone who has passed.

What if it was your friend?

RIP

Let this be a lesson to all stupid morons out there. Do not confuse skill and stupidity. Like many other people, I couldn't care less if he was a 'nice man'. He acted like and idiot, putting many people's lives at great risk. Certainly it would be wrong to wish for him to end up like this but whatever happens is always for the best. With him off the road the world is a much safe place.

Yet another fantastic example of Darwinism.

Man this is rough, but I agree that you shouldn't confuse skill with stupidity. Yeah he had skills (I saw a video or two), but he really, really, really should not have been doing his type of driving on the streets. He should have sought sponsorship or something to be a competitive driver.

Completely separate from that, the fact that he died as a passenger in a car accident, is just that - another car accident passenger victim. Real unfortunate. Not trying to be amusing when I say this, but is it irony? It might be that and a whole bag of mixed emotions. RIP.

There is no doubt in my mind that he was clearly a very skilled driver, and good person from other posts that have been made.

Do I think that he potentially endangered the lives of others? Definitely. Does that make his death any more justifiable (struggling for the right term here) than anyone else's, Absolutely not.

RIP - Hopefully there are some M cars in heaven for him to rip around in (pun not intended). Respect should be given where due. It doesn't matter how fast or how much of a jerk he was on the road, it matters what those close to him meant, and the effect his passing will have on those touched by him.

This is now the second thread I've seen of this sort on here. First Vodyk which was an absolute tragedy, and now this. I hope this is the last of them. Everyone drive safe and tell your loved ones how much they mean to you.

As Giorgi said in his interviews the main idea of filming those videos was that he wanted to get attention and get sponsorship. He was always saying on tv and in his interviews not to do things like that and he was explaining the reason why he did it , the reason was he and his team wanted to take part in movies and advertisements as professional stunt driver.

Dude had mad skills - YES....However, it was a matter of time before he killed somebody. My question is why should the driver be charged with murder?? This was his choice to be in this situation unlike everybody who has been affected in the past by his recklessness. YES, I AGREE ITS HORRIBLE WHAT HAPPENED....SAD - VERY SAD!!! I'm sorry to those of you that knew him. R.I.P. All I can think about at this point is what if this guy ran over my child because he wanted to make a cool youtube video?!?! It's hard to feel bad for him considering he had NO problem putting everybody else at risk. It appeared as tho he didn't care about anybody when he made those videos...The streets are now safer and let me again say how sorry I am for his friends and family and my hat is off to him for somehow not killing any innocent people.

How did i miss this thread. Giorgi was my favorite driver and ill admit i lived vicariously though his videos. I remember arguing with another board member about the kind of skill required to do some of the things he did on the road. I have sick feeling in my stomach now because i said back then i will continue to watch his videos until he crashed, killed someone or himself. The irony like someone said was he died as a passenger with another driver.

Ripping him and calling him names will not change the fact that he is passed. RIP man.

What he did in life is irrelevant. He was someone's son, husband and friend. Whatever you think you shouldn't speak ill of the dead. It is hugely disrespectful to those who loved him.
Spot on, I've been surprised by some of the comments in this thread :grrrrr:

RIP Giorgi

I can see that, but there is a time and place to do such driving and it's not on public streets where there are innocent bystanders.

Thnx London Mike,

I still don't approve his driving on the street and never will. I won't justify for him either, but the matter of fact doesn't change, he was my friend and a close one. I despise everyone who wrote some awfull stuff after his passing, pls I'm asking everyone here, he was my dear friend and a loved one, not only by me, but by his wife, parents and many other good people. Me including all his lived ones are left with a big emptiness in us, it is a loss, it is sad and if anything should be said here is that may he rest in peace, but not some awfull words behind him. PLS HAVE AND SHOW SOME RESPECT FOR OUR PASSED FRIEND!!!

Cheers,

Burak

Because he's not on the streets putting people's families at risk, that's why.

I am very sorry for your guy's loss. His driving actions in public areas weren't the best ideas but I will leave it at that, those were his decisions and choices.

Just a tragedy that had unfolded very, very sad. I wish the driver a speedy recovery!

Probably more so than the average driver, but since you're not drifting into oncoming traffic (or are you?), then probably not as much as him. And how fast the car is doesn't matter, drivers of all shapes and sizes, in all types of cars, put other people at risk by thinking public roads are their own goddam racetrack. I've done my share of street-racing in the past in college, but have since grown up, and get infuriated seeing these idiots weaving in and out of traffic, doing 90+ on I-10 through town. It seems like almost every week, there's a story on the news in Houston of how a big-rig driver was taking a ramp too fast and crashed, or a speeding motorcycle hits a car and sends the driver flying 100 feet, or how people racing crash into an innocent victim.

I agree, my wife drives a slow vehicle and she is still a dangerous driver on the road kinggf
