29 pieces at 850 lbs or kgs... thats 29.3lbs a piece (or if kgs, it's 64lbs)

The label is for Miami, but you're in DIA so chances are it is not the airway bill to you, but to the distributor....

I'd say wheels.

i didn't know UUC made that shift knob and e-brake handle for the e39 yet....last i saw it wasn't available. What would be cool is if that shift knob would still be illuminated.... :)

Your engine compartment looks so clean. Is this a recent picture or was it taken when the car was new. If it is recent, how did you detail it? I have been meaning to get my engine compartment to look like yours but was afraid of spraying water into that area for fear of damaging some electronic components.

Does anyone have tips on the best way to detail the engine compartment???

James,

I use GUNK engine degreaser in a spray can. Just spray it on a cold engine, leave it on for about 5 to 10 minutes and rinse with a hose. I then wash with soap and water rinse and towel dry all the top parts. No problem with water, all vital parts are water proof, course I wouldn't hold the hose on one spot for too long just enough to get the soap off.

That engine bay is clean. I'd think you didn't drive it if I saw that on a used car. Not dirty, and not used car dealer "armour all" dirty but glossy!! Is the box new wheels?

Hmm 850 lbs or kg...supercharger pieces? turbo? What is it!!

I'd need to try wash down my engine down like that, how long do you let it sit before you try to start the car? Do you use an air compressor to speed the process up?

You're right!
The labels are misleading; I think the distributor had 29 shipments at the same time.

They're wheels, but which wheels? ;)

Yes, a red herring...

(the airway bill leads to a commercial invoice.. but looking that up wouldn't have been sporting)

I'm a luddite when it comes to mfgs... not a clue. Gorilla Beast would have it cold.

We will, of course, see pictures soon!

Destination, MIA. Suprised you got them when they were marked for "Missing In Action. " hiha

They could have marked them MIB and sent them to me. :7:

I'll guess Dinan Lightweight wheels like Yoda. :hihi:

My high-gloss black window trim set is actually OEM shadowline trim but I had them painted high-gloss black.

The result is like the OEM high-gloss black trim, but doing this still costed me less than buying the OEM high-gloss which is around $700 even with discount!

I bought from Vaheh at Crevier BMW; you can email him at [email protected].

Lovely rims mate,

What sizes and weights and made by who...?

When is the rubber being fitted and must see pics on your ride
They're Cargraphic Racing 19"x9" and 19"x10".

I bought them from Automotive Specialist (member TCM); Beastpower also sells them with different packages:
http://www.beastpower.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=BMI&Category_Code=cargraphic

The weights were around 26 lbs but mine are the latest model which is stronger BUT also heavier :(

I ask Cargraphic USA regarding the weight and this is their answer:

"Actually the weights quoted to TC were correct the 19" wheel with the Alloy lip is 25.5 for the front and 27for the rear. Being that the M5 is a larger more stylish car the wheels were built with the brighter, stronger Stainless Cap lip. This is a design unique to Cargraphic Wheels which allows for a traditional lip design but then we add a very thin stainless cap over the alloy lip that dramatically increases structural rigidity and overall trueness. The Cargraphic wheel is currently the strongest 3 piece wheel on the market and is perfectly suited for daily driven cars. That being said if the few pounds is very important to you we can build you the same set with Alloy lips but they will not be as brilliant and will be more susceptible to raod hazard damage i.e. potholes and such. Check out some of the threads on HRE and Fikse wheels seperating mid hub.. This will never happen to a CG wheel. I think you will be very happy with the Stainless lips especially on an M5."

They also added this:

"They are Polished Stainless lips.. due to the design they require almost 0 maintenence, just soap and water."

BTW, here are some more pics:
