Question.....

Are you planning to do this yourself?? Or, take it to a good, experienced shop, with expertise on S62 engines??

PhillyM5 's block had Darton liners installed, you can get that done by VAC IF thats what you should decide on later.
You can have the block honed to the next size, its not that thin of a wall.

hone the block to the next size?
The dealer supplies over sizes
93,990mm(0)
94,040mm(00)
94,190mm(+0.20)
But Mahle can make any size you want just like JE,CP,Arias etc.
Its just real important to have the piston skirts coated with grafal.

AHhhhh so just home it for fresh rings and have custom pistons made if your bore is larger than spec.

No, if you go beyond those two oversizes then your out of BMW engineered spec, your on your own. They are only a couple thousandth over each time.
