Does anyone with experience with the 3 series comfort access know if you can open the trunk without pressing any buttons with the comfort access option. Also will all the doors unlock when you approach the car. Do you need to open the driver's side first in order for the other doors to open. Just wondering if you could open the passenger side or even the rear doors first with the key fob in your pocket.

Yes, I have experience with it on 3 and 1 Series

If you have the key with you and you press the soft button on the trunk (the normal open button above the number plate) the trunk will unlock and open. If you accidently put the key in the trunk and close it, it will automaticaaly reopen so you dont lock your key away by accident. So you dont have to press any buttons on the key itself.

The door only unlocks when you grab the door handle, you can set wether the car unlocks only the drivers door when you grab the drivers door handle, or unlock all the doors when you grab the drivers door handle

You can walk to the passenger door and open it if you have the key with you

On both the 3 and 1 Series only the front doors and trunk can open with comfort access, I dont know if the 5 series will have sensors in the rear doors.

To lock the car you get out, close the door, then touch the grooved spot on the door handle and the car locks ( mercs system works the same to lock )
