I am so thrilled and full of adrenaline... Just had to share this.

Early this morning I went for a 600km trip to meet my father
in southern Sweden. Took a chance and really put my licence at risk.

There were almost no traffic on the dry freeway and I pushed my M5
really hard all the way. Drove in the range between 170 - 270 km/h
all the way and all I can say is that this car really takes your breath away.

You never think that there is not power enough. Pushing on fourth gear
to 210 and then up to 250 on fifth and still two gears to go!!! hiha

Came up on a RS6 that followed up to 220 but the he let go...wonder why...
:M5rev:

Sharing a pic of the bugs... For all you guys waiting, it is so much worth it!

Cheers!

I know exactly what you mean!

Just back from a 3500 km trip on the German autobahn. Silly speeds all the time. Average fuelconsumption for the whole trip - 17.4 L / 100 km! :hihi:

This car is just awesome. Accelerating uphill and hitting the speedlimiter in notime, is just breathtaking :M5launch:

7500 km total, so far. No faults whatsoever.

PETA will be pleased that, at least, the bugs met a very swift demise.

Awesome! The car sounds great, and I'm glad to hear you're at 7500km with no trouble at all. lovelove

hiha hiha Oh man, that's a good one. My ex's mom was a huge member of PETA, and I always heard the propaganda. If I only knew that saying a few years ago, I could have given it back a touch...
Sounds like a blast EKAN, you lucky dog you. If you want to see bugs, come out to Arizona. I hit a big every few seconds. PITA to keep the front of the car anything but yellow.

If he was running between 105 and 165 mph, that mileage isn't very bad for a 500 hp car. I am curious what mileage can be obtained in more mundane highway cruising.

Yes, I also got a shock when I first pushed it through 4th and 5th to the limiter on 272 km/h. I have never driven such a fast accelerating car to 270 km/h
:M5thumbs:

Haha fun story with the RS6!
Hi, The max speed is not 250km/h? (I m at 4000 km so can't figure out yet by my self)

Thats right, It is 272km/h (280 something on the odo).
You reach 250 on 5th gear and then easily the speed limit on sixth.

You have one too?!?!?! How in the world does Romania (no knock intended) get the M5 before the North American market? BMW needs to figure out what side it's bread is buttered on.......no offense, but it aint Romania!
