Prices for 6 speeders hardening?

2565 Views 35 Replies 14 Participants Last post by  M5Wagon
Just had a quick look on Autotrader and the prices being *asked* seem to be firming up - and looking more favourable to current owners.

M5saloon looks to have got a good price for his on ebay as well.

I know that what's being asked in terms of price doesn't necessarily reflect what's paid, but what do you guys think? Are prices getting a bit stronger?

Indeed,

I put my girlfriend in the boot once to try and locate a rear squeaking sound.

What she didn't know was that I was going to close the boot and drive round the block...Fast.

She didn't speak to me for a week, but it did save a load of cash if BMW had investigated. Win:Win then.

:hihi:

Hmmmmm you could be onto something there... What if I left her in there? (Nah I don't really mean it)
Tell you what! You boys really know how to go COMPLETELY off topic don't you?
Sorry old bean....

It is nice to see that the prices are coming back up!! Prob cos the E60 M5 is out now.. and people relise how good the E34 is!!

Sorry for the leftism Rob.

You're right, with the E60, I think you have people who have remembered how good they were before they became BIGBROTHER, 11 million setting, SAFETYBOY cars. I drove a F355 two weeks back with the flappy paddles. Overall the experience was so dull it was beyond believe and that was on a track!

The hate of driver interferance combined with the rareness of the E34 will certainly shore-up prices.

Have just sold my LE with 51k on the clock in mint condition and was pleased to raise 15k...................so the market isnt dead, and just goes to show that those that want... will wait and pay... when they find what they are looking for.:byebye:

FOOKING HELL!!!! Fair play to you mate, but he must have been a nutter!!

IMHO there ain't an E34 M5 on the planet that's worth £15k.

There is. I'm told about a LHD one with virtually no miles that some dude has been intermittantly trying to sell for a while. I think there may even be some threads on M5board.

ralph (vadas1)
It was kinda special .................looked like it had just rolled out of the showroom....extended warranty etc  ...with only 35 of these Orinoco beauties hand built for the road......IMHO it was worth more.... and in the future as they become even rarer ??? = = = = ££££££ kinggf

ZIP M5 LE 33/50 :1:
You are correct Zippy.

I have one of only 15 of the reddish coloured ones. IMO these look even better than the Green ones with the mint ice cream seats and they are 3 times as rare.

I want to offer you a job as my agent for flogging it. 15K :7: We maybe need to clock it just a little.

Holy sh*t £15k!! ouich

Defo a one-in-a-million buyer there i'd say, i'd have thought anything over ten was hitting the jackpot regardless of low mileage or condition!! For me £8500 was good enough, the car wasn't perfect and it went to a good home (hey Jim if you're reading!). Car cost me just over £2k in 10 months, it was an impulse buy to get a taste of the M5 experience, unfortunately it was just too old to run as my main car!

As Arnie says "i'll be back"...

Cheers,
David.
