Hey all, I was working on the car this morning and overtightened the positive battery nut under the hood and snapped the stud. I researched the part and it's only about $11 for the whole plastic assembly and stud. Tisher wants $10 for it, but $14 to ship it :eek7:. I'm just going to get it at the dealer, but their part's department is closed today.

My question is can I drive the car without having that cable tightened on that stud? Can I get away with covering so it doesn't arc on anything while driving? I'm leery about it as I'm not sure if that cable completes a circuit or if it's just used as a way to easily charge the battery/jump other cars under the hood.

Thanks all!
