My car has been making this awful whine like noise and I have no idea what it is. Vanos pump & solenoids were replaced a year and a half ago by the dealer. Also had Rod Bearings/Vanos HP line done a few months back. I have no idea what this noise is and had the shop doing the bearings check the backlash on the pump and it was to spec. I’ve attached a video below.

First move remove the belts and test. The noise sounds like either from the front or the bottom.
