Went to the dealership this morning and picked her up.
Was in and out the dealership in about 1hr.
Having a " IN " at a dealership is so nice to have.

00 M5 Titanium Silver
75.1K miles
Chrome wheels..( I thought were painted Grey/Silver. My buddy is a
lazy **** and never kept them clean) Wow. most difficult wheel
ive ever washed.
Dealership provided a Car fax and full service report on the car.
Car fax came up Clean, qualified for carfax guarantee.. Spotless.
Service records all coded up.. with RO#'s and other #'s..
Will search to find out what went on with this car.

To purchase an extra M5 key is $139.95 with tax, with a 3 day delivery.
Bought a case of 10w/60 @8.99 each.
Oil filer was $12.99 ( suprised it was so cheap)
Wife bought a BMW (key chain)

Got more question, my friends..

When the car isn't running, and if I push the clutch in and out.
It makes like a squeeking noise.. Is this normal??

Made some Lock to lock turns and heard some clunking..
wondering what that could be.

The Tire Monitor doesn't work/or something
-buddy said, their problematic and not to worry about it..
What you guys think?? Should fall under Warranty to fix.

Someone explain to me how the " DIAL" inbetween the two
middle air vents work.. The ones with the blue and red dots.

What do you consider excessive oil consumption??
Friend say he adds a quart about every @ 2000 miles or so.

Im tring to compile a laundry list of things to do before warranty
expires.. I have 2 green dots left for next service.

any advice will be awesome.

This is the only one I can explain.

You can make the air coming out of those vents colder (blue) or warmer (red) by adjusting the dial regardless of what the temp readout is.

Did the manual come with the car?

For the clunk sound, check to see that the tire does not rub anything at full lock. I know that no power steering likes to be at full lock - mine makes a slight "swish" noise at full lock, but no noise at full lock - a few degrees.

The 2000 miles per liter of oil is probably not excessive for a '00 model. There have been threads here that list people with 1000 or 1200 miles per liter.

If your car is pulling hard, you don't have dirty MAFs. You can check, but the real sign is stumbling and loss of power. Sounds like you're fine there.

There is nothing particular about the '00 date. You don't have a ULF for bluetooth - those came in '02. You don't have 16:9 Nav screen - came in '01. You have the Angel Eyes update. That is almost it - I think there were options for rear seat airbags in '02 and newer cars, but if you have kids, you don't want those.

Other than that, enjoy the car and stop worrying :crying: so much. They are great. They cost a bit to maintain, but after driving it for a while, you will understand that the cost of ownership is worth it.

my car makes that clutch noise too, not uncommon.
oil consumption seems good, and a 5/00 produced car has the 'revised' piston ring design so you should be ok there. You can use bmw 5/30 or tws 10/60.

What build date has the revised piston ring? Mine is an 03/00. So far oil consumption has been very little - like 1 liter / 3000 miles or so.

I believe the new ring design started with 3/00 production cars!
WHich oil decal do you have, 10/60 or 5/30? i'd think that would be the way to tell. if 5/30, new design rings, if 10.60 old.

Pretty sure I have the 10w60 - that is the oil I have gotten with the car. What should I look for with the old design? Any service bulletins or such I should keep in mind?
