I have just purchased a 2005 (dec) M6 - but have a big problem with my phone.

I have a Nokia E72 - but this locked up the iDrive completely (no radio, satnav, phone etc) requiring the BMW garage to reflash the systems to clear it. - What do I do now - the BMW recomended phones are no longer avaialble with the exception of the iPhone - which i dont want. I have updated my E72 to the new firmware today, but am very wary to reconnecting it and causing another lockup.

What phones are know to work with this car?

I have the car's firmware upgraded to version 9165008 (latest current)
and the Nokia firmware version is now 031.023.207.04 (dated 31-mar-2010)

I haven't tried this latest combination - has anyone any suggestions?

thanks
John

Most likely you need to get the latest and greatest software update from BMW.

No choice but to take it to the $tealer to get the software updated.
As we all know, the $tealer charges premium price.

Expect to pay two hours of labor.
If you have a good working relationship with an SA, it should be less than that.
