I'm thinking of buying a Peake code reader, any comments/any good?
I have a 95 e34 M5 + 94 850csi + 98 840ci + 01 525i so what model/number Peake tool do I need?

The E39 may well require a different plug ( one being 16 pin and the other 20 pin ) to your E34 and E31 .

I cannot personally comment on the Peake code readers , having never used one .

Think it's the R5... get the lead too as then it works on all of your cars. Mine does the 95 e34' 2001 e38 2001 e39 and the 2002 e46, the e34 and e38 have the round plug under the bonnet and the e39 and e46 have the plug under the dash

i've got one, i believe it's the R5, it worked on my '00 e39 m5 and my e34. Seems to work, i've reset the service indicator, and read fault codes. Only code i ever picked up was for a/c compressor (?) but i have no reason to expect any. (no check engine light issues etc).
